"Worm"

In my poetry workshop class we got an assignment titled "Worm". There were several guidelines to follow/motivate the assignment.
After workshopping my poem in class and hearing the positive things people had to say, I loved it even more. Thanks to all those in class, you all rock!

Here is what came of assignment #6....

Worm 

I am segmented, sectioned, incomplete

eclipsed and cryptically covered.

In rooms of representing full shells

the unattainable wholeness of matched ideas.


Potential illusions of belief come

in forms of you, near enough to absorb.

Partially we swell, entwining

space and time through.
