Typical Summer Nights
I just saw Larry Crowne with my friend Elle. GO SEE IT. I really loved it and thought it was cute, charming, and subtle. Outside of the movie itself we experienced one of the strangest cinematic audiences for two 20 year old girls...Elle and I were literally the only people in a packed and sold out show below the age of about 60, with the exception of 4 people. ( We were counting ). It was hilarious and strange and something I will always remember when I think about Larry Crowne.
On my drive home I rolled the windows down and let the warm night air be my AC. It was spectacular alone but then I got stopped at a red light, not something most people get too excited about. However, the radio was playing "Good Life" by One Republic, the night was beautiful, I'd just seen an excellent movie with a good friend, & then the added bonus of fireflies. They were everywhere, dozens, surrounding me. And I may have never noticed them if I literally wasn't forced to slow down. Now I've noticed fireflies throughout the summer in my yard and on other occasions, but it was pretty neat to see them when I'm driving around in my car on a typical summer night. Only when I stopped to soak in the night did I even notice them.
Take some time and enjoy the fireflies.
