back to school...
College really does force you to adapt.
Even though I'm no longer a freshman sometimes, (like now) it is hard to adjust to going back to school. Returning for second semester can feel like going back for a brand new year.
I got so comfortable and situated at home. I'd wake up naturally, pad my way into the kitchen to add cream and sugar to the already made coffee, usually passing my Mom in the den and Trooper would wag his tail at me from her lap.
However, today is a little different...My roommate has class and woke up at 8 and since I slept kind of crappy I decided I'd just wake up too. I woke up a few times last night most likely because I'm not used to this bed anymore & I kind of can't breath thru my nose. No big, haha.
I only have one class today and the strangest thing is I wish I had more to do on the first day back. Being busy makes it less likely that I'm going to sit around and be bored.
Now, don't get me wrong. Going from high school straight into the real world of work, bills, and living on my own may have given me a heart attack. I know its possible, but for me at least, the whole 4 years of college gives a bit of a buffer between being home constantly and being on my own.
I guess going back after winter break for the second time in my life has gotten me to feel a bit nostalgic. When did I even get old enough to go to college. Gah I'm almost 20. Ay ay ay ay ay ay.
Well anyway...to all of those returning to school, in school, at home, at work, anything...hope this Monday gets your week off to a good starts.
Lets see how it goes....
