One of my new favorite places...

is the hammock in our backyard.
I've never had a hammock before, and realize I've been missing out. I recommend them to all. I'll be a hammock spokesperson if possible. That may be taking it a bit far, but I really do love it.

Our hammock is between two trees that are back by our fence and it is wonderful.
Its simple and understated. Its made of one material that is delicately and intricately woven into a good ole sturdy hammock. When I lay in it I feel like time doesn't really exist. I can read or just lay back and enjoy the wonderful summer weather. It sucks you in and wraps you up like a cocoon. Being tucked away in the hammock kind of makes me feel like I'm out in real nature and surrounded by the worlds most simple and awesome things. Trees, grass, bugs, birds, the whole scene. Even though I'm only yards away from my house and a fence that keeps me protected in my little oasis: it still feels like a bit of a peaceful escape.
