"New York, I Love You"
I just watched the movie "New York, I Love You" and really enjoyed it.
I initially just started to watch because A. I was tired and B. I saw that Rachel Bilson was in it....turns out so are a ton of other people like Bradley Cooper, Orlando Bloom, Natalie Portman, Hayden Christensen, Andy Garcia, and even more that I recognized but don't know the name of...
The movie plays out as though each person has there own story. Some are connected to other characters, and some just end after a few minutes without drawing back connections. For a lot of movie critiques this could be a bit unsettling because nothing is really wrapped up with a nice little bow at the end. However, it is also really interesting. The movie did have some awkward moments and conversations, but it was definitely unique. Reoccurring themes could include relationships and smoking haha but if you probe a bit deeper you can see that movie is just about connections. All the characters seem to be looking for is a connection with someone, often times a stranger, and someone to understand them. It's a really cool concept to think of strangers walking up to one another in such a big city and genuinely appearing to be interested in the other person.
I feel like that is really what a lot of people are out there looking for, a simple connection.
