So I've been slacking

I've been slacking on blogging. Not intentionally though, promise. And it isn't like I've been sitting around on the couch all day doing "non blog worthy" things and just being a lard.

Most simply I've just been a bit busy and a bit tired and a bit drained. I had a week or so where I was just doubting my writing ability. I think it's because now that I'm actually a declared English Major I have this idea that my writing should be top notch. But I have to realize that it just won't always be outstanding and that my grades in English don't necessarily display my enthusiasm and passion for writing. Sometimes that English writing for class is straight up boooring.

So I've got to keep this up in order to stay sane. I'll try my hardest to keep it entertaining and to use it most simply as an outlet of thought and expression.
Don't read it and look for grammatical structure and punctuation, I may never have that mastered haha.
I'm going to keep writing and I hope that some of you out there will enjoy it.

The past few days I've been thinking about this gorgeous weather that has been surrounding me. The air feels clean and absolutely still. I don't know if that makes sense but it feels perfect, like I'm floating thru it in a way. The heat and a slight breeze has combined to give the air this strange effect. I don't know exactly what it is, but I'm a huge fan. It may be a reaction to the bitter air and wind that we had this winter. This is the universes way of balancing it out and giving some warm refreshing atmosphere. I like seeing more people out and about and enjoying their time.
This past weekend was a little preview of summer. I can't believe I only have 1 week of class, finals, and then abroad for 2 weeks & essentially summer right after that. I'm ready for it all. I'm ready for my trip and then I'm ready to be home and relaxing.

I'm hoping that this summer I'll have more time to blog and write some short pieces of stories or something along those lines. Maybe I'll combine it all into one and blog about my writing. I read a few portfolio pieces from high school and am pleased to say that they were pretty decent.
It is kind of strange to read stuff that you yourself wrote months or years ago. It sometimes feels like an entirely different person was writing them. Your ideas sometimes just formulate and come to be without much recollection, so then when you look back on them you can't fully grasp where you were coming from when you were writing. It's really interesting though, kind of like time capsule of your thoughts and made up worlds...

That is all for now,
Goodnight everyone.
