Time. tick-tok
Do you ever want to speed up time, but slow it down all the same?
Like when I wish that it would be summer already and my 2 week trip abroad right before that, but at the same time I want to slow down all the moments I can have in between now and then. Because to get these amazing memories you have to have things that you can remember, things that stand out among the rest, moments that pop out from the good and are great.
I think the most important thing with time is to try and enjoy it and to use it wisely. We have to do a lot of things we would rather not if given a choice. Study/wake up and take on the crazy and sometimes hard day...but some incredible things can come from that. Like if I wasn't in school I may not have been motivated enough to start a blog. I may not have gotten the idea. I may not have met the people that are in my life. I may not have grown and realized I have so much more to learn about myself and the entire world. I may not have appreciated the time I really really get to take for myself. I may not be as confused about what I want from life, and that may have made me settle.
This summer I want to read a lot, write a lot, listen to music constantly, and essentially just take it easy. But what if I got to do that for allllll of time. I wonder if I would even enjoy it. If i didn't have things that challenged or frustrated me what would I even care about?
Maybe the time we feel like we are wasting away doing what we "have" to do, is there to make us appreciate the time we get to spend on our own accord. Looking back you don't usually remember the rough hours you had because time is relevant. It all blurs together and its what you pull out and clarify from that blur that really matters. So take moments in the time you "have" to do things you'd rather not, and then really really soak in the time you get for yourself and use it to its utmost ability. Pack in things that make you happy and things that are going to matter at the end of the day. It's your time, now and then, and everything in between.
