Happy New Year
In just a few hours it is the end of the first decade of the millennium...more simply it is another New Year. [my aunt just put me in a headlock, we sure know how to show the love ;) ]
I'll be seeing the ball drop with my parents, aunt & uncle at the beach. The beach is one of my favorite places to be. I love the atmosphere and the whole vibe of it all. In another life I'm a surfer, I swear it. I wake up at 6am and surf and workout, then rinse off the salt water and get on with my day. It is beautiful.
The most recent lesson of 2010 that I have learned comes from tonight. Tonight at our New Year's dinner I learned that I do not like ahi tuni (aka tuna but I called it tuni on accident, I like it better). I ordered this tuni special and repeated as I ate, knowing that a whale is not tuna but none the less I said, "I feel like I'm eating Shamu". I felt like eating this raw tuna was just so wrong for some reason, I swear my eyes were watering as I chewed it up. Me no likey ahi tuni. The meal was salvaged though. Thank goodness for dessert!
In all seriousness its been a really good trip to the beach and a great 2010. I can't believe its 2011 in a few hours and then only a month until I turn twenty. gah. Speaking of 20, I found twenty dollars before dinner, woo hoo. I feel like turning 20 sounds so much older than 19. Johnna mentioned the other week when she turned 20 that there will be so many things that happen to us in our "20s". We will graduate, get jobs, and could even get married and start a family. I think I'll just take it as being out of my teens and closer to the real world. Bring it on!
say goodbye to two thousand and ten and hello to two thousand and eleven.
have fun & get the year off to a good start!
P.S. happy anniversary to my blog, It is essentially one month old.
