In my own little snow globe...
It's the Sunday before finals start...ew finals.
Tomorrow is 'Reading Day', even though they might as well call it 'Cram everything into your brain' day, but I guess that just doesn't sound as academic.
I've done some chores and polished 2 papers today so they are almost ready to be turned in and forgotten about. I'd consider today a productive one...but now I'm distracted by "The Time Travelers Wife". Who can blame me though? It is a great movie and a really good book, so everyone read it and watch it. Eric Bana has the coolest accent in the special features segment & Rachel McAdams is one of the best actresses I know of so of course she is always entertaining to watch.
I can't wait to be able to have no academic things to do for a full 3 weeks. I'll be able to piddle around the house and do as I please, yay! I'm looking forward to curling up by the fire (that will hopefully be ordered and installed ASAP) and finishing "Half the Sky" and having plenty of time to read another book or so.
I'm still really enjoying "Half the Sky" and learning new things with every page I read. It doesn't get any less startling and heartbreaking but I really like the feeling of self education that the book has provided. Its taught me things and presented information that I won't forget. I think it is one of those books that you keep and re-read every now and again. Soon I'll be on the hunt for more and more to read.
Only a few things stand in my way this week, and then its pretty much absolute freedom for a bit. Good luck on finals and work everyone! & if you are already done, enjoy the break :)
